At the end of July 2016, I stepped out of my comfort zone. I got on a plane (I HATE FLYING), went to a city I’ve never been to, and met some ladies that I had only met online. Confession… I had NEVER met another Norwex consultant, except my recruits.

You see, I joined Norwex In February, after a Facebook party I had attended in August of 2015. My husband and I were desperate. I can clearly remember that night. Our bank account was negative. I had just started working again, part time at a bank, after losing my full time job. My husband was working at a car dealership… and it wasn’t going well. We knew something had to change.
There was not enough money (we were negative after all) to pay our electricity… or water… or mortgage. We also had zero food. I had been making our own bread (because it was cheaper) and we made beans and rice (all the time). We had used all of our resources. There wasn’t a drop of oil left. I remember calling my mom and sobbing because I couldn’t afford brown sugar (a tragedy for this cookie lover). We hadn’t been living outside our means. Every month we barely had enough to get by. After some unexpected expenses, and bad months at the dealership… things weren’t looking good. That month we did something I NEVER anticipated doing. We asked our parents for help. Our parents graciously paid our mortgage and gave us an extra $200 to pay our utilities and buy some food. I swallowed my pride and accepted the help. That night… we ate a can of chili and boiled rice for dinner.
That was when I received an email from my Norwex Consultant. It was a Join for free month, no minimum sales requirements. I was ecstatic. This could possibly be the answer. I could work from home… and care for my son. I had LOVED my cloths, that I had purchased in August, and was anxious to be able to afford more, but it simply wasn’t in the budget. The only problem… I didn’t have the $9.99 to pay for the shipping of my kit.
I called my mom… and asked if she thought it was unwise to spend 10 of the dollars we had “extra food money” on this business thing I might be starting. She said to go for it. My husband, Ryan, was immediately on board. At this point… even if it brought in an extra $50 income, that would at least pay our electricity and gas.
Fast forward a couple months…
My Launch party was a HUGE success. I had made over $400! I was able to buy groceries, pay our utilities and buy gas for our cars!!!
In April, My husband lost his job at the Dealership. I was devastated. We moved in with my parents. We Decided to rent out our cute little Dream House.

In May, I made enough money to pay ALL of our bills with my Norwex income. Even our Mortgage (because the house wasn’t rented yet). I was shocked and amazed. God was so Good. He had blessed this business beyond my wildest dreams.
In June and July… we actually had a SURPLUS! What?!!? Extra money??? My husband started working again and my Norwex business was mostly established. Of course, we threw all that extra toward debt that had been piling up. So far, we’ve paid off 2 credit cards and 1 student loan!

A Promise for a Brighter Future.
We stepped into this little booth… and they videotaped us. I started crying at the end… embarrassed I told the booth operator… “sorry… it’s been a long weekend…”
But really, it was because I had seen how far we had come. My Promise was to my son. This enchanting… Handsome… Little Man I have been so blessed to be able to call Son. I promised that I would do whatever it took… to provide for him, care for him, and make sure his life was as chemical free as possible. He is my why.

This is fantastic Rachel. We have been there with the negative bank account before! We feel the same blessings for having found Plexus and the opportunity it is giving us to build a business and a healthier lifestyle. I would never have thought I would be doing a network marketing business but the more I find out my skepticism melts away and I get excited for the future! I am happy for you! Life is not easy! You have a wonderful family and a God who cares and has a perfect plan.

God said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. He didn’t say, “as long as you are perfect, Rachel.” “If you recite the Lord’s Prayer 10 times a day”. It’s unconditional. Sunday morning look around the church body. I doubt there is one single/couple/family who have not been in the desert place. It’s a growth place for you & me. Don’t bother counting how many times you have been to the desert cause there is more yet to come. Just count your blessing when you are there. 🌺
